The NHL/NHLPA First Shift is open to children, between the ages of 6 and 10 years old*, who have never previously enrolled in minor hockey within Canada or the NHL/NHLPA First Shift program.

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting THREE (Fall 2025, Winter 2026 and Spring 2026) First Shift programs for the 2025-26 season!
We look forward to seeing you for the 1st session in November of 2025. When the Victoria Reign ice contracts from facilities are finalized and confirmed, we will update the First Shift website with dates and times of the ice sessions.

Registration Open June 2, 2025 at 9am pacific time.

**New This Year** You will need to create a Hockey Canada Registration account for the player you will be registering.

*To be eligible to participate, children must be born between January 1, 2015 and May 1, 2020.
This program offers 1, one hour ice session per week for 6 weeks. Registration cost is $299 which includes brand new Bauer gear for you player to keep!
