REGISTRATION

Updated Registration Information for May 1, 2024

CRFMHA has moved its registration platform to the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) system. In order to register, at least one parent needs to set up a Spordle My Account (see setup and information links below) and be sure to link all your players (no matter what association they register with) to your account:

HCR My Account Set Up

HCR My Account Information Update

Prior to registration:

  • Players who are “new to hockey”
  • In your Spordle My Account, the parent/guardian must upload a copy of the player’s Birth Certificate and one Utility Bill showing the parent/guardian’s name and address (as proof of residence in the Capital Regional District).
  • All Players: It is mandatory that at least one parent (with a Spordle My Account) finishes the Respect in Sport (RIS) for Parents Program. The RIS for Activity Leaders can no longer be used to satisfy this VIAHA requirement. If you completed the Parent version of this program in previous years, you do not need to repeat it.

Special considerations regarding refunds:

Special consideration may be given in the case of relocation, on medical or compassionate grounds.  A season ending injury will require a doctor’s note along with notification of withdrawal. Refunds will be assessed to the nearest week the refund request is submitted to the registrar. These requests will be reviewed by and approved at the Board of Directors’ discretion. Applicable only to members in good standing.

Multi-player Discounts:

Families with 3 or more children registered with CRFMHA will be eligible for discounted registration fees as per current policy. If possible, register all of the children at the same time in order to get the appropriate discount for a 3rd or 4th player in the same family. If a 3rd or 4th child is added later in the season, contact the registrar for help with the discounted registration rate for that child.

Special Requests:

Requests for one friend to play on the same team may be made. The friend must also make a reciprocal request. We will try our best to honor the one friend request, but we cannot guarantee it. VIAHA requires that our recreational teams have balanced numbers and skill levels.
No coach requests will be accepted.
